So Miah asked me this week what I’d like for my birthday this year. Mind you, my birthday is a flippin’ SIX months away in December, so I questioned him as to why he’d ask me so far out. He claims I asked him about his birthday wishes back after New Year’s, with his birthday being in June. Um, NO, you are incorrect, sir! He claims that he is right because there was snow/ice on the ground…hello, March in Colorado??? Easily possible for those conditions to occur!
But now we come to the real problem – what do I WANT??? Actually, I’ve determined that at my age and status of life, it’s more about what I might need vs. what I might want. I really feel like I couldn’t do with any more luxuries – not anything practical anyway. I know it sounds crazy, but I’m actually contemplating asking for a nice Swiffer vaccuum/mop so I can get all the dog hair up and then mop right away. Hey, until you’ve lived with our dog, you don’t know my pain! 
Or I could really use some more jewelry – and not diamonds or pearls. I’m talking your typical silver necklaces and earrings! I am in serious need of such things, as I only have one silver necklace I can wear that doesn’t look tarnished, and I’m a huge proponent of matching earrings & necklaces.
I can’t really ask for shoes because GOD knows I have plenty of those, plus I get the evil eye when I do bring a new pair home.
The only thing I was able to come up with on the spot was that I would LOVE a Wii Fit! That is, unless we buy one prior to my birthday. But after this baby comes out, I am SO going to need every bit of motivation I can find to get myself back into shape!
K, that’s it – please send thoughts and perhaps suggestions my way for me to be able to come up with good requests.
Yeah, the Wii Fit is a great idea! My husband almost got that for me, too–impossible to get in Germany. He got me a camera lens instead.
